Antoine Dijion Mitchell (once known as GHOST and sometimes The Art Alchemist) is a Baton Rouge, LA visual, graphic, and comic book artist by way of Norwood, LA. He received an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute of Houston and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge. He also proudly sits on the Artist Advisory Board of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

The subject matter of Antoine Dijion Mitchell’s Art has changed throughout the years but one of the things that has remained consistent is Black representations, be it realistic or fictional. Past exhibits include Profile of a Black Woman, which focused on the beauty and strength of Black Women, and various exhibits focusing on historical and sociological aspects of the African and African American experiences.

He specializes in traditional medium (graphite and color pencil, acrylic, watercolor, ink) as well as digital media (Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator). He calls his current style, "Art Alchemy" in which he "transforms" human subjects into beings of fantastical mythologies, ancient histories, as well as comic books.

Speaking of comic books, his most ambitious art project is the Afro-Fantasy comic book series, "Sankofa's Eymbrace" which was conceptually 19 years in the making. He serves as creator, writer, penciler, colorist, letterer, and graphic designer, while his phenomenal wife, Erica, serves as his sounding board and editor. Completely independently done, these two do the work of many and in 2019, they finally released issue 1 and as of 2023, issue #3.
